What you can expect

Strict gear dress code

A strict dress code applies for the FULL GEAR BDSM PLAY. Admission is only possible in the following outfit:

Full gear (>80% body covering): Rubber, PVC/plastic, neoprene, uniform, worker, leather, safety and protective clothing and equipment.

You can find many specific examples in the dress code section.

Alternating fetish focus

Each edition of FULL GEAR BDSM PLAY has a fetish focus. This theme will be announced in advance – but the following always applies: all other gear fetishes from the dress code are welcome at all events in the series. The following themes are planned:

  • Waterproof & Airtight
  • Rescue Mission
  • Dress up, Get to Work!
  • Tactical Ops
  • It’s Raining, Men
  • On the Beach

Cooldown area

Intense play in Gear also means physical exertion. That’s why there is a cool-down area with seating and free water. Gear can be taken off there – the cool-down area is game-free and is used for recovery.

Photo box

Although no devices with cameras may be used in the Quälgeist, there are exceptions: the entrance area and the photo box set up especially for you. The photo box is set up so that no one is photographed unintentionally.

About the venue

The Quälgeist is from kinksters for kinksters! Quälgeist e. V. is a self-managed, non-commercial association that is supported by the voluntary work of its members. Among other things, there is a large play area in its own location. It is well equipped for BDSM and play sessions. This includes St. Andrew’s crosses, pulleys, bondage tables, ropes, spanking benches, slings, the stretching bench, cages, the cell area including the isolation cell, the wet area for wet games and, of course, the more intimate cuddling areas, e.g. for after care.

The following offers are part of all play parties at Quälgeist:

Bar area

In the bar you can get to know each other and chat before and after playing. There is a wide selection of drinks at the bar. For smoking we have seperate smokers’ lounge.

Free coat check

Get dressed up in our changing room and leave your jackets and luggage at the free checkroom. It is manned at all times: Changing gear is no problem. We also have a limited number of lockers (rent: 2 EUR).

Borrow toys and equipment

Some toys such as percussion instruments, tape or the heavy steel cuffs can be borrowed for 1-3 EUR. The team behind the bar will be happy to help you.

Showers included

If required, you are welcome to use one of our two showers to freshen up in between or at the end. We will provide you with a towel.

What is gear fetish?

Gear fetish is a specific form of fetishism in which people are sexually aroused or attracted to certain clothing or equipment (“gear”).

Examples include uniforms, protective clothing, special materials such as latex, neoprene or PVC, or occupational or function-specific clothing, such as that worn by workers, firefighters or other emergency personnel. Several aspects can define this fetish, including

  • Material and texture
Certain materials (e.g. latex or PVC), their texture, their look and feel, their smell or the sounds they make.
  • Symbolism and power
The representation of power, authority, submission or the representation of certain roles.
  • Transformation
The embodiment of a different role and the exploration of new facets of one’s own personality.
  • Aesthetics
The design, form and functionality of the gear, which can be visually or conceptually appealing.
  • (Sub)cultural identification
Being part of a larger community or subculture that values the same gear.
