Bondage workshops with Davide “MaestroBD” La Greca

In mid-November, we offer two bondage workshops with Davide La Greca as part of Bondage=Time. In addition to an introduction for beginners, there is also a workshop for advanced bondage enthusiasts.

Davide La Greca – aka MaestroBD, is an unusual Kinbakushi and a Bondage and Shibari teacher, and he is the only certified Italian instructor of the Yukimura Ryu Kinbaku style.

The number of participants is limited, so registration via our calendar is necessary. Our usual hygiene rules apply.

Shibari basics workshop

Shibari basics workshop on Saturday 13 November 2021, 12:00 to 16:00

Bondage=Time presents a workshop by Davide ´MaestroBD´ La Greca on the basics of shibari, the Japanese way of bondage.

Objectives of the workshop

This workshop will teach how to safely bondage our partner. Bondage is an
intimate and fascinating activity, we will dive into the Japanese tradition of rope bondage: Shibari. We focus on basic technical skills and connection issues.

Programme

Topics of the workshop are:

  • History of Shibari
  • Safety aspects
  • Single Column Tie (one-hand/foot restraint)
  • Double Column Tie (two-hand/foot restraint)
  • Immobilisation
  • Hishi (diamond) restraint
  • Japanese aesthetics

Participation

The workshop is designed for couples (rigger/bottom), preferably if they already get along well.
This workshop is suitable for all genders, sexual orientations and body types.

Maximum number of participants 5 couples.
Participation free of charge, donation appreciated.

Prerequisites

Participants do not need any experience with bondage to take part in this
workshop. Suitable for beginners to learn or for advanced students to refresh their skills.

Bottoms must be able to recognise potential problems with nerves and circulation and inform the rigger.

Clothing and equipment

Participants should wear comfortable, soft but not too loose clothing. A T-shirt, bodysuit or sports underwear are very suitable (no bras with underwires) as well as shorts, leggings or sports trousers. It is advisable to bring a blanket or gym mat and to work barefoot or with socks.

It is recommended to bring your own ropes if available, as there are only limited ropes available.

Introduction to Yukimura Ryu

Introduction to Yukimura Ryu for advanced students on Sunday, 14 November 2021, 12:00 to 16:00

Bondage=Time presents a workshop by Davide ´MaestroBD´ La Greca on Yukimura Ryu, a shibari style that focuses on connection and erotic contact.

Objectives of the workshop

We will learn about Aibunawa (the caressing rope), a style associated with erotic sensations and positive feelings. The Yukimura style is a Newaza style (no suspensions) and focuses entirely on building emotions and connection between partners.

Participants must be proficient in single hand/foot bondage. Bottoms must already have experience and be able to recognise potential problems with nerves and circulation and inform the rigger about them.

Clothing and equipment

Participants should wear comfortable, soft but not too loose clothing. A T-shirt, bodysuit or sports underwear are very suitable (no bras with underwires) as well as shorts, leggings or sports trousers. It is advisable to bring a blanket or gym mat and to work barefoot or with socks.

It is recommended to bring a set of 6 ropes (jute or hemp, 8 m long, diameter 6 mm) if available. It is also helpful to have some shorter ropes with you.

About Davide “MaestroBD” La Greca

Davide was born in Rome in 1971 and discovered bondage in the 90s. It was
love at first sight, so he started studying BDSM through magazines and selfinstruction. He created his personal style by combining western bondage and
shibari techniques.

In 2011, he discovers traditional shibari and starts studying with a Japanese
sensei and trying different styles. In 2014 he finds his way, the “Yukimura Ryu”.
So he starts to take lessons with Sensei Yukimura Haruki and follow this
“caressing” style.

MaestroBD has been teaching bondage and BDSM techniques since 2004 and
offers workshops everywhere from Sicily to Reykjavik (Iceland) teaching Shibari
and rope safety and BDSM. He wrote a Shibari manual and several BDSM essays.
Today MaestroBD is one of the best Shibari teachers in Italy and runs six Shibari
dojos there.

He also performs at various parties and events throughout Europe, where he
brings the art of shibari and theatrical bondage to the stage. He is the first and
so far only Italian to have participated several times in the Onawa Asobi in
Tokyo.

Davide is currently working on his new project: Spazio Musubi, an open cultural
space for workshops, festivals, shibari classes, cultural events and much more.

Building a relationship means creating quality time: it needs your full attention and passion. I use ropes to create a bond between two people, and I teach others how to do it.
Bondage is the connection of two souls using ropes to create a constant flow of emotions without the need for words.
